Say, are you bored? Well then maybe you’d like to catch 17 minutes of the upcoming Souta-kun no Akihabara Funtouki spin-off OVA, Yawaraka Sangokushi Tsukisase!! Ryofuko-chan. Well, if you just click that pretty little link right above this text, you’ll be sent along to nico^2 where you can see those 17 minutes, along with 800 Japanese people typing “wwwwww.” That’s basically lulz. I can’t for the life of me remember when it comes out, but I’m sure it’ll be good fun. Also, as of this writing nico^2 is down for maintenance.

One of my favorite things in the anime world is when a subanime of a manga or other anime or what-have-you gets spun off into it’s own real series. I mean, it can really go well. The original Kujian anime was headed for WONDERFULAWESOME until they reimaged it, Getsumen To Heiki Miina, and Puni Puni Poemi. Well, we’re going to add one to that list. Ryofuko-chan, from the kick ass, getting (or gotten, I don’t remember) an anime adaptation itself, manga Souta-kun no Akihabara Funtouki, is getting a 4 episode OVA. Also, let me just take this time to point out that Square Enix publishes some of the best manga in Japan. That is all.

Ohayo gozaimasu! See? I am SOOO otaku. It’s proof. Got some damn good news this weekend. Some good KyoAni news (which you already know if you watched the end of Kanon.) Well! Enough talk. Let’s make our move, de arimasu. I’ve been watching Keroro Gunsou lately. Yeah.

• I got a press release from the good people at DLSite. I actually got this one too. Thanks guys. *thumbs up* Anyway, it gives the good word that they will be accepting works from international creators. Does this mean you can turn in your idiot Amerimanga? SURE! But, by god, I hope they deny you. Hopefully this will open up to some really original international works. • It’s been a while, but Souta-kun no Akihabara Funtouki has a minor update. It’s going to be an OVA. HEY THANKS GFantasy magazine!
• Arms Corporation has a flash-based first look at the new Kite anime.
• WOWOW announced that it would be airing a Shigurui anime to be produced by Madhouse. There’s even a teaser trailer.
• KyoAni News: Aside from the upcoming Lucky*Star, it was announced at the end of Kanon that KyoAni would be doing a TV anime for the Key classic CLANNAD. Oh, and moetron is also hosting the PV for the upcoming Toei produced CLANNAD movie.
• Here’s another long one. Minato Soft’s visual novel Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore De is getting an anime. And it’s going to be a TV anime. So prepare to lose a lot of character development. WOO!
• Terra E…’s official site has a new short trailer up. No DMing of trailers tonight. TOO BUSY!
• The full CG movie Vexille has had its site put up and also has a trailer jiggy.
• Like AIKa? I know I do. The official site has a 15 and a 30 second trailer up for the OVA. ENJOY THEM! I know I will.
• Nasu 2, a followup to a short film by Kosaka Kitaro, is set to be released later this year. There’s a quicktime trailer up! Enjoy!
• And HEY! The latest Ghibli releases have been announced and detailed. Yessir.

• Alter announcements out. Doing those after this. Just saying.
• Another 1/5 Ruri. A waitress this time or something. I don’t know. I don’t even care about her anymore.
• President Japan is putting out a 1/8 scale Ryuuna figure. She’s sporting a nice sitting pose. I vote yes. 6,090 yen this June.
• To go along with that, there’s a Mao figure in the works from PJ. Same bat time, same bat channel.
• My beautiful OS Idol Win-chan is coming back with a bit more red in her diet. I still like the Cool Blue version better. 3,990 yen this month.
• Moeyo’s Fii-tan is getting a plushie makeover! Complete with upskirt shots!! 2,800 yen this month as well.
