old anime news and some other shit.

It’s a good thing I was lazy last week. Otherwise the anime news for today would have been lamely small. Heavenly Sword was about like everyone says. Extremely well done and beautiful (My god, Kai. I LOVE YOU KAI! YOU CRAZY LITTLE SEXPOT!). It’s too short, like that also say. And no one has mentioned that Kai and Nariko are obviously fucking. I mean some real muff-motorboat action all over the place. I’ve got Team Fortress 2 waiting for me at home, so I will mention how that one is a bit later. TGS starts Wednesday. And Crysis on the 25th! YES! Good stuff all around. On with the rollup!

  • Shakugan no Shana’s second season website has been put online. AND NOT A MOMENT TO SOON! Now you can pass the time until the show starts (October 4th) by reading the site over and over again.
  • Not that any of my post pubescent readers will care, but the Maple Story website has also been put online. But for you cute little scamps, the show starts on October 7th, and you can just cutey wootie hoojuboo!!! Sorry, that’s how you’re supposed to talk to those sorts of people.
  • A new .hack//G.U. OVA is in the works. It’s set to be three episodes and 85 minutes long. I’m not sure if that’s total or per disc. The undying series will see the first disc of this OVA released on January 25th. It’ll be out on both Blu-ray and DVD. There will be a PV for it at TGS this week.
  • Trailer: There’s a nico^2 video up for the upcoming anime for Saishuu Shiken Kujira. The anime is based on an eroge. A good one. So be sure to check out the promo.
  • And speaking of eroero, Boku no Pico shota has been re-edited to not offending the delicate constitutions of chicks who like dudes fucking, but don’t want to see the fucking parts. It’s called pico ~ Boku no Chiisana Natsu Monogatari. That is to say, my little summer story. Galge has a trailer for it. Galge has some nudie boobies on some pages, so be wary.
  • Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 3: Kurenai no Tsuki, a period reverse harem game (I think…) has had an anime special confirmed. It’s out this December.
  • The October Comic Blade Avarus has confirmed a Monochrome Factor anime is in the works. No info on a date or cast or anything.
  • And here’s a 3D Haruhi head.

I had some links that I was going to use to whine about the state of free expression in Japan, but I just don’t have the gusto to do it at the moment. Please imagine me droning on about how the world is going to shit because upset people are forcing easy-going types to come down to their level of bother as opposed to them being forced to be more understanding, or at least less meddlesome.

HEY Y’ALL! I’m back. You might have noticed I split the links out into adult links and normal links. YEAH BUDDY! Ok, well, like I said, I want to do some more eroero stuff, or rather, make it possible to cover it on a whim. Well, let’s ignore the eroero for now and get on with the figures.Figures

  • Not gotten enough of Shiranui Mai? No one can get enough of her. It was a trick question. Well, due out this December is a limited release, 1/5 scale Mai. She looks pretty good, might be right up the alley of fans of the more mature looking Mai. Again, she’s out in December and she’ll run you 14,700 yen.
  • Ok, Yamato. I’m listening. You say you’ve got an extremely sexy Poison figure? You say she may look a little… waxy, but she’s 275mm tall and 1/6 scale. Anyway, Poison looks pretty damn good. November for 7140 yen. YOU LIKEY?!
  • Oh man, I’ve been waiting for Yamashita Shunya’s Arisa for a long time. And the Creators’ Labo line is bringing her out as the #014 figure in the series. She looks just great, really. I’ve been pleased with Creators’ Labo so far, and this might be a purchase for me, since I have loved Arisa for so long. She’s 240mm tall, and she’ll be out in November for 7,140 yen.
  • Megahouse has a very sexy looking Clare from Claymore. I’d hit it. She’s out in November for 5,775 yen.
  • A slightly eroero Shana figures is on display from Toys Works. She’s… in a position more often associated with… ladies of lesser means than herself. She’s not happy about it either. Shana comes in two color schemes. A normal red-haired version and then the typical nekomimi version. I can’t help but feel like Shana is moving in on Hazuki’s territory. STOP IT, SHANA! They’re both 5,800 yen in December.
  • Toys Works has a… wonderfully expressing (wonderfully exposed) Mirim Icsas. Oh, maybe she’s a little cock-eyed (from SOME angles, looks ok from others.), but her body is top notch. Toys Works, I salute you for this sexy, sexy figure. Oh and her boobs are squishy. Score. Mirim is out in December for 6,800 yen. I might need something like this to start up my DAISEXY figure collection. It gives +8 to Turning Off Girls skill sets.
  • Do you need more Louise in your life? Well, Koto has a nice SweetWhite Louise figure due out this December. She might do what you need, though it’s not like I know what your tastes are. You can have her whipping you out of bed for 6,090 yen.
  • OK! Time to speed this up. Max Factory has rocked my world again. That Kitsurugu I mentioned before is up for preorder. He’ll be out in January for 6,800 yen.
  • I have a Wendy figure, but I think I need MaxFac’s clothes changing Wendy. Ok maybe not, but still, I like to see Wendy getting attention. She’s special. Also out in January for 6,500 yen. Sort of lame for a 1/8 scale, 100mm tall (sitting) figure.
  • Here’s a nendoroid… Re Mii from… one of the Zoids shows. Looks like GSC is stepping up nendo pricing. She’ll be out in January for 4,000 yen.
  • Here’s a Kusugawa Sasara ~sukumizu meido ver.~ figure. From afar she seemed sexy, but then a shot of her face put me off a bit. Nice body though. She’s out in December for 6,090 yen.
  • A nice looking Rei from Koto. Nice base. Out in December for 7,140 yen.
  • Louise, Little Devil ver. She’s out December for 6,090 yen. 1/6 scale.
  • Pastel Innnnku! 4,410 yen in December.
  • Nijihara Inku? 4,410 yen in December.
  • Koto has Shiina Kanon’s number. Shiina is from Shining Tears, looks pretty good. She’ll be out in December for 5,775 yen.
  • Shilfa… yes she’s a robot, but are you going to tell me robots don’t need love too? ARE YOU?!?! Give her some in December for 4,725 yen.
  • Moetan trading figures. Nothing to see here. Enjoy your prison. 6,300 yen in November.
  • Got some Melty Blood series figures. Touno Akiha is looking pretty good. Or if you don’t want Akiha to show you her version of Heaven, maybe a softer touch is your speed. Kohaku might do you proper. She’s 5,880 yen in December. Akiha in January.
  • I think we’ve all been waiting for some other Yotsuba&! figures. This time, we’ve got the lovely next door teen, Ayase Fuuka. She’ll do nicely, especially if she’s part of a continuing set. She’s 185mm tall, she’s out in November for 2,940 yen.
  • Lastly, we’ve got I-no from Guilty Gear, by way of Max Factory. She is looking wonderful, as you’d expect, and if I was more into her, and didn’t have other stuff, she’d be a for sure purchase. Rawr. Here’s hoping she casts off. She is out in December for 7,800 yen. Yessir, good stuff. A bit expensive though.

Man, that was a lot of backlog. I’m really regretting all that missed posting. Makes me weep like a little baby. I AM WEEPING PEOPLE! Oh, and if you’re worried, individual figure posts will still have images posted. None of that sort of business is changing. Just though you might care to know.

I must be mad for posting this so late at night where surely it’ll be buried under a swath of posts from the other side of the globe, but still, I’m working so fuck it. I have time for MY LOYAL READERS! Anyway, I seem to vaguely remember this MaxFactory figure, Shana from Shakugan no Shana, from some long past WanFesu. I seem to, but man, it’s been forever. Maybe it was a web announcement. I feel old now. Anyway, she’s up for preorder now! And Shana is looking pretty good. The face seems a bit off, but the rest of the figure is top notch. Of special note is the hair. I have to say that Max has simply found the best translucent hair material I have ever seen on a figure. Really catches light in a wonderful way. I do have a bit of issue with her pendant. The “chain” looks a bit too flimsy for me. Still, to make up for that sort of thing, it appears that her skirt AND shirt may castoff. That means that’s removable. If anybody has confirmation on that, let me know. She’s out in November for 6,200 yen and she stands 175mm tall at 1/8 scale.

Let’s everyone in Singapore try to keep the price secret from TJ Han so he doesn’t shit a brick. Haha. Alright, hit the jump for all the pictures I could find.

Fellow Max Factory fanfags, I am happy to bring to you a MaxFactory blog update that chronicles some lovely upcoming figures. First up is the instantly known Shana from Shakugan no Shana. Max has actually done a good job making the translucent hair work. She looks good, I must say. For a little bit more of a roundabout view, be sure to check GSC’s Wonhobby Life News Watch for today. Second on their site is Ousaka (Osaka) Taiga from Tora Dora! Tenori Taigaa (Palm sized Tiger). She looks good, and HEY! She’s palm sized! WHAT ABOUT THAT! The pose is taken from the cover of volume one of the light novels. Anyway, any inaccuracies can go to hell. I do my best, damnit. Oh, and I didn’t see an release dates.

I will hit the other three figures on Monday since they are sort of ugly. Except this one with noody boobies. It’s has boobies. Therefore, it must be good. Also, I’d like to stop before I make any more embarrassing gender-based mistakes. I’m just saying. If I’d seen more than a face shot of the ambiguously named Mello, I wouldn’t have made that mistake. God damn drawings. Always so tricky.

Well, if it wasn’t a fucking horrible weekend for people who don’t like being tricked and surprised. Especially the perverts at my other site. Talk of Federal Prosecutors and subpoenaed user information certainly drove off a few users. Haha. It’s all in good fun, and I hope no one befell any tragedy from any of the horrible lies from this weekend.

Anime/Manga/Games

  • Well, speaking of April Fool’s Day… Danny Choo announced that his very own Mirai-chan was getting an anime. Initially, we were all under the impression that we were being April Fooled, that is until the April 2 posting that it was not a hoax. Now, not to doubt Choo-tan, but I have to remain skeptical considering the rules of April Fool’s Day allow for one to start a joke on the first and carry it on indefinitely. Still, he says keep an eye on the Production I.G press page for the official announcement. Oh, I will. And if something goes up, expect a full posting on the details.
  • Trailer: There is a streaming flash trailer up for the upcoming series Dragonaut ~The Resonance~. Be sure to enjoy it. OR ELSE! The show hits this October.
  • Shakugan no Shana Second has been officially confirmed. Of course, we all knew that “uruchai uruchai uruchai” was too big for just one season.
  • Congrats to moetron on 2 years and a million hits.
  • pKjd also has the StrikerS OP/ED videos up. YAY!
  • And for you April Fool’s fans, Shingo has a good listing of shit that went down.

Figures

  • Speaking of my good buddy Shingo, I’m glad to see he’s back in business since getting that new job. You were missed in the blog community good sir. Now everyone, check out his review of Bandai’s Karen. She isn’t looking too hot color-wise, but he is more forgiving than I am. The muddled grey-red of the clothing is just too… dusty feeling.
  • Also coming via the Shing-machine is some HOT, HOT Yamashita Shunya polyvinyl. It’s an original kit and I have to say Shingo is 100% when he says “The slight bunching of the skin at the bend in her waist is one of the hottest things I’ve seen in a figure in a long time… :3″ Indeed.
  • It’s all Revoltech from here on out. First up, it’s Revoltech Saber 2G! The second generation of bendy cuteness. I should maybe take back my railing of her originally, but I won’t. BWAHAH! She’s going to run you 2,499 yen this May and stands 140mm tall.
  • And we will end out this rollup with some Revoltech Toro/Kuro action. Toro is the white fellow, and Kuro is the black one. They both come with different faces and are great for fans of the mascot. Especially for the low, low price of only 1,995 yen this June. That’s an impulse buy if ever I saw one.

And that’s it for this weekend’s rollup. I can’t begin to relate how stoked I am to have a bit more free time. I’m really happy to be able to take care of ikimashou properly again. Also, I’ve started actual production work on that SECRET NEW FEATURE (not sure how many of you follow along with my rambling about it). To clue you in on the scope a little bit, this new feature will make ikiKOYOMI look like a stupid asshole. The only reason I am being so secretive about it is that I don’t want people to get too stoked about it before I can reasonably guess when it will be finished. Now it looks like it will still be a few months, but no guarantees.
