Now, I don’t know how many of you dear readers are avid Japanese RPG fans, but I am assuming that at least a few of you have heard of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3. It’s really one of those amazing bits of story-telling that I love to come across. But enough about me, let’s talk about you, Persona 3 anime. Soejima Shigenori, the game’s character designer is staying on to create the anime characters, but I am a bit worried that Matsumoto Jun is helming the show as his first time directing anything more than episode spots. Still, there are some good names on board from shows like Darker than BLACK, Le Chevalier, and Ouran. Music from the guy who did Read or Die’s music.
Still, here’s hoping it doesn’t turn out like the Disgaea anime. The site, whenever it comes online will be over this way. The show is due out in January.
Maybe I should actually play Persona 3 someday. People keep telling me it’s good.
Maybe you should. I mean, I certainly won’t be the guy to pressure you into it. It’s a bit of an investment and if you blow it up in your mind, I don’t think the payoff will come fast enough to make it seem worth it. :D
Of course, the payoff isn’t that binary either.

And no, it’s the Matsumoto Jun that was a key animator on Digimon and episode directed for Blood+. UNLESS THEY’RE REALLY THE SAME PERSON!!! *gasp*
Well, this is good news as I have never tried to play it nor even read the transcript of the plot.
These are the times I curse myself for never getting a ps2 in the first place.
Alter’s Aegis is also superb, which arrived today, wohoo.
Maybe I’ll just borrow my friends console again and buy the games like last time wanting to play “cornerstones of ps2 rpg”.
Though one of my friend says the US ver. is made of crappy soundtrack and horrible everything they touched.
Um when was the last time there was a good RPG to anime conversion? Anyone? I love P3, but I won’t be holding my breath for this.
