Live-Action Dragon Ball Z Movie Green-lit
by Randall Fitzgerald on Sep.05, 2007, under america, anime, live action
I think I am nearing a point in time where I may literally laugh myself to death. Twentieth Century Fox has apparently green-lit a Dragon Ball Z live-action movie film. I can’t even begin to imagine how they are planning to pull this one off. I think I’ll be find with it as long as the aliens stay reasonable and they don’t… like… replace Goku and that whole lot with teens who are on some mundane adventure. Also, they better not baby it up. I want some kick ass fight scenes, damnit. MAKE IT HAPPEN, FOX.

You’re thinking about this all wrong. Consider the possibilities: DBZ reimagined as a teen sex comedy. “This one time, at saiyajin training camp…”
And Goku fucks a cheesecake.

And Majin Buu is the fat friend who plays on the offensive line on the football team? How would Mirai Trunks fit in there? Because with them all being teens, if he comes back, Buruma might consider him a love interest. SCANDAL!

Just saying it’s kinda weird that they’d bring it back up now. I guess things take time.

Yeah, I remember hearing about it a while back too. But then, that’s how it is with unpopular movies. It takes them forever to come up with a deal, nail down talent to direct, etc, etc. Soemtimes they can get a director onboard, but the studio won’t green light and then the director will leave before the studio agrees and the studio cancels. ETC, ETC.
LUL Hollywood.

yea i heard this ages ago when are yea gona make there mind up.
please come out soon i need more dbz for my shelf
and dragonball z would make a great movie but it needs to be done properly with a good cast that no one has seen befor and a griping story line doesnt, it have to be great on the story line just has to be good.
rush jobs dont work so dont mess it up, it will be massive if its made well.
thanks
dbz 4 ever

Well, I hope to GOD that this will be good. But, I have a feeling this will be like the DOA movie. However, with a 100 million dollar budget, they can do ALOT of crap. I’ll go see it, regardless.. to support.
Make all the DBZ voice cast members do a cameo!

i want the characters (male ones mainly) to be chinese and not white guys otherwise it will be too cheesy and americanised and it aint american for all those that hadnt actually realised. True characters like trunks look white (he does resemble that white boy..erm whats his name..the dude from titanic – leonardo di caprio) i can understand that but to take away the oriental concept will fuck it up because its the oriental concepts that make it somewhat beliveable.. a white man like Hugh Jackman talking of ancient traditions wearing kung fu gear and kung fu symbols on the back calling himself Vegeta sounds fuckin stupid …with all due respect to you white boys if your serious and true about DBZ you would be honest enough to admit im right..
But going by reality i know thats it gonna end up being mainly white characters anwyay..

Hey you guys are really gay and don’t have alot of friends or get any pussy do you. Think of this as the star Wars of our time and a new begining for an old story.
