Well, folks. It happened. I had enjoyed a decent weekend, just finished a fairly successful contest, and I went down to my car to go to work… nigga stole my radio. Can you fucking believe that shit? Anime/Manga/Games

• Many of you probably hate the PS3, but I don’t. I love it. It’s my favorite console that I have, so NYAH. First up, in the US, the PS3 is getting a price drop. So now you can get the 60GB PS3 for $499, and some places are already selling them for that. (Apparently, they’re effective today.)
• It’s also getting a movie download service, again for the US, sorry Europe/Asia.
• Lastly, and this one is just theory, word is that Sony is going to be including the new fan dubbed “rumblaxis” rumble-enabled SIXAXIS with the 80GB PS3/MotorStorm bundle that is supposedly due out this August. People are pointing to a red-dotted SIXAXIS on the box as proof, but I seem to remember lots of those red-dotted pictures around launch time, so don’t put too much stock in it.
• In actually Japanese game news, Otomedius is being tested around Japan and gpara has some info on the game and the cabinet, etc, etc. I am always looking forward to new shooters. Awww yeah. I found this screenshot to be particularly hilarious. If you can’t figure out what… man… come on.
• My best buddy Simon got interviewed by Publishers Weekly. Good on him! Read it! HE MAKES PORN PEOPLE!
• The first ten minutes of the upcoming full CG movie Vexille are online and there for your streaming. I’m also tossing it up on DailyMotion, so enjoy. If the DM doesn’t work, sorry. They’ve been flaky lately.
• So, the big Haruhi thing on 7/7/7 was… odd video. I didn’t see it, but Shingo’s got some YouTubage.
• Kure-nai, a series of romantic comedy light novels is getting turned into a manga in Jump Square (formerly Monthly Shounen Jump), and also it seems to be getting an anime. Or rather the manga is being made to promote the anime. Oh that crazy cross-promotion business.
• In being-a-whore news: Choo-tan is promising big hits if you give his stories a little home on your intertrons. Maybe you folks should take him up on it.

Figures

• Mahayanists wants to you to jump on their Kakouen Myosai resin kit. It’s non-finish and they’re only making 200 of them. More specs, you say? Well, it’s 1/5 scale and stands 430mm tall and will run you 20,790 yen this August. If you get one, that is.
• Not enough Belldandy in your life? Well, if not, then you have some sort of sick obsession. Oh yeah! And Kotobukiya has a 1/8 scale figure of her you might like. She seems to sort of be flying, nicely sculpted, and will run you 6,090 yen this November.
• Next on the Koto list is Kouno Harumi from ToHeart2: Another Days. Not a whole lot to rave about here, other than the suggestive post. I think the pink and blue sort of smack each other, at least in the pictures, as the blue is too intense on the figure. But hey! What do I know! She’s out in October for 4,410 yen.
• Shining Wind fans must be enjoying themselves these days, what with all the figures around. Koto is adding one on with their Clalaclan Philias figure. If nothing has moved you to buy a Shining Wind figure, surely this must be the item. SURELY IT MUST! GOOD GOD MAN! HAVE YOU NO SOUL?! She’s out in October for 6,090 yen.
• And speaking of Shining Wind, my artistic comrade super rats has just posted up his review of Max Factory’s Ryuna. She looks good, as we all know things based on Taka Tony’s art are wont to do. OH MAN! Good stuff.
