I got a lot of good work done on the SUPER SECRET PROJECT this weekend. YES! We are inching closer to the private alpha testing phase (it’ll be invite only, damnit.). Might skip to public beta depending on how far along things come in the next two weeks. It’s coming along soon, anyway. Also, since I am paranoid about this sort of thing, if anyone has sent in a contest entry, please let me know. I haven’t received any, and just want to be sure that’s the case. One last thing before we start, I don’t mean to undermine Danny Choo’s achievements, but this is easily the greatest thing he has ever done. Next time I’m in Japan, we will hang out, Choo-tan. So it is written.

Anime/Manga/Games

• I heard there was some big anime circle jerk in my home town this weekend, where all the industry types got together and did some good ol’ mutual masturbation. I dunno. My information chain to that side of the fence is a little iffy, so it’s like a big game of telephone. Facts might be… inaccurate. I did not hear about anyone being dressed as a big purple dick. I am a bit let down.
• Production I.G has put out a Shinrei Kari GHOST HOUND trailer that runs 100 seconds. Not doing DM versions today, since I am behind on some stuff. Here’s the streaming version. The show is going to be 22 episodes long.
• Code-E’s full, clean opening is up on YouTube. Yep. Looks pretty ok. Show starts July 8th.
• As with all AIKa R-16 trailers, this one has some wonderful angles; WINK, WINK. NUDGE, NUDGE. But still, this trailer for the second disc is fun for watchin’. Only one worth watching is the 30-second high quality. Mmm. Disc two hits on July 27th. I WILL HAVE ONE! BWAHAHA!
• The official site for Tensai? Dr. Hamax is online. Show is due out this fall, and as an interesting bit of trivia, the original concept one the Anime Planning Grand Prize four years ago. Not a great turnaround time there.
• Lastly, Code Geass is set to begin its rebroadcast on July 24th, according to some thing I saw.　I can’t find it now, so yeah. BUT IT’S ALL TRUE!

Figures

• Only one piece of figure news today. Ryu Mei Feng was announced as the next in the Shuraki boxed set series. The GSC/Red Entertainment produced box looks DAMN GOOD. HobbyStock has all the pictures you’ll ever want and Shuraki has some other stuff, like pictures of her on a turntable.
• Oh, one more IKIMASHOU EXCLUSIVE, Shuraki’s official site has the first initial sculpt shots of the third Shuraki figure up. Shall is going to be coming into my home. I SWEAR IT! MONEY BE DAMNED!

And that’s it! Which is all well and good. There’s a bunch of “this got licensed” bullshit from this weekend, but do you guys really care?
