old anime news and some other shit.

The latest issue of Shounen Gangan Powered has let loose the juice. MAN! Where do I come up with this shit? Sometimes I realize what I just typed and wonder what part of my brain shit like that comes from. It’s like I go into some sort of retarded news coma. Anyway, Shounen Gangan Powered’s July issue has put forth the happy-funtime news that Arakawa Hiromu’s latest manga, Juushin Enbu, will be turned into a TV anime. While the storyline doesn’t feel terribly inspired (much less cool than Hagane no Renkinjutsushi), it could be alright. The plot works out like this. Chinese Zodiac, boy, star signs, mystical sword, probably saving the world is in there somewhere. Throw all that in a pot and you’re THERE!

It’s pretty good news! Just a note, though: there’s a reason why the plot is weakish. It’s Arakawa’s work, but unlike FMA, she just illustrates it- she doesn’t write it. It’s all Huang Jin Zhou’s plot, dialogue, etc.
