old anime news and some other shit.

Well, the Alter/Happinet/Aniplex trifecta are certainly doing a good job of making themselves known these days. They are putting out some really top notch figures. Let’s actually hit Aniplex first.

Aniplex is dropping some Kamichu! goodness. I’m fairly certain this one was a resin kit before, and it’s looking pretty good as a PVC diorama now. This keen staircase scene sports Yurie, her cat, and some of the spirits from around town. The sculpt looks pretty damn good and the size is nice, standing 180mm to the top. She will be out this October for 7,329 yen.

Now… yes, now onto the thing that really caught my eye. A beauty contest between the old school and the new school by way of Happinet’s ChronoGate series. First up, we have the classically sexy Francoise Arnoul from Cyborg 009. She is more conservatively dressed, as is common with ladies from many older properties, but she still seems to give off that aura of sexuality. She’s wholesome and yet seemingly begging for a pokin’. Haha. Classy.

She is played against what is arguably her updated counterpart. Mylene Hoffmann of 009-1 demonstrates what it is to be sexy in the current era. She’s putting herself on display in very little clothing, and what is there is generally open and in some way coming off. Absolutely beautiful body lines on this figure. A really wonderful carve, as is the Francoise’s. Both ladies are out in October for 7,644 yen. I’d pay it.

Hit the jump for a few of Yurie and one promo image each for the cyborg ladies… and since I love you, I dug up some other shots from the official site.

isnt Chrono Gate really a new serie but Kotobukiya + Happinet?

Well, it does say H&K all over the official site for it, so probably, yeah. But since Happinet is hosting it, I just slapped the credit on them. Somehow, I missed that those two previous figures where in the ChronoGate line, so I had sort of missed the lines inauguration, as it were.
