Holy sweet Jesus!! What a large number of anime announcements this week! Oh, right off, let me explain that the two rant posts are in hidden mode for a while. They need to me for my own personal reasons, it’s nothing permanent, just can’t have them glaringly on page one (links to them still work). Anyway, I’ve been getting a lot of work done on the SUPER SECRET PROJECT. If I keep the steam up, we might see beta in a few months. Well, an open beta. I could have a closed alpha sort of thing ready for action in a few weeks, so keep the eyes peeled for that. Basically, I want to make sure nothing gets out without the thing being DONE. You know? I want not to get all half ass on it after I release it. On with the rollup!

Anime/Manga/Games

• Well, first up, some FFXIII news. There were some interviews about the game recently in LEVEL magazine. Ceb from NeoGAF has translated some parts of the interviews. YAY!
• Want some funky fresh Dai Yamato Zerogou fun? The first of five episodes is up for free online streaming.
• Karas OVA Disc 4 has been scheduled. If it’s as boring as the other three, nothing will be getting me to the stores on August 24th.
• Gundam fan? OH SHIT! New Gundam! It’s going to be called Mobile Suit Gundam DABUURU OO! That’s… 00. Double O. Yeah. If you didn’t already believe me that Gundam is a bullshit series that’s been milking the same idiots for like… a million years, HEY! this one takes place in an all new continuity universe. Yep! No worries about clashing with the canon. Someone please explain how this is different from any other mecha show? Gundam just sells copies. It’s insulting. Show hits in October.
• So… then Piccolo… I mean Ishida shoots the Kameameha… I mean spirit arrow at Buu… I mean the Hollow… yeah… another Bleach movie. It’s hits theaters in December.
• Peach-Pit’s disgustingly sweet manga (Ouran High School Host Club with mascot characters) Shugo Chara is getting turned into an anime TV series.
• Ah, some good news. Koharu Biyori, a romantic comedy manga, is getting its own anime OVA. Everyone likes a good romantic comedy.
• Looks like the ef visual novels are getting a crack at an anime series. ef -a tale of memories- will kick off this fall, after the release of a prologue DVD on August 24th. Thanks to Phenie for adding the DVD release to ikiKOYOMI.
• More visual novel stuff. Yotsunoha is getting a two episode OVA due out next year sometime… that’s a long time.
• This news hit on Friday, but I’m a lazy fucker… Rosario to BANPIYAAAAAAA is getting an anime… GONZO will be animating it. Take that for what it’s worth.
• Kamen no Maid Guy has had its website put up. Odd since it’s not due out until next year.
• Happy Happy Clover also got some website love. This one with the more sane release date of July 6th.
• Also, if you’re a yaoi shota perv, you’ll be happy to hear that, in complete contrast to recent American, popular demand has given rise to the production of a third OVA episode of Pico. Info is on Galge.com which is all sorts of NSFW.
• OMGOMGOMG! Looks like Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan Second has a release date for the first episode. The first DVD of the OVA series will hit on August 24th.
• Shingo is worth his weight in GOLD DABLOOOONS today for posting a mildly NSFW review of both Megami 84 and Comp Heroines 4. This is one summer showdown you don’t want to miss. I TELLS YA.

• Oh yeah, ZnT’s homepage has been converted to show off the second season’s sexy whatever.

Figures

• Ok, let’s do figures really fast. Sol International is doing nice looking PVCs of both Ciel and Shion from Melty Blood. August and September respectively. Both will run you 5,880 yen.
• And how’s about Cafe Reo’s super cute Mika PVC from Gakuen Utopia Manabi Straight? Need some HobbyStock linkage? OKEEDOO! She’ll run you 4,725 yen (1/8 scale) this August.
• More Nendoroid, I hear you cry. Well GSC hears you as well. This time it’s Mikuru who will answer the call. 3,000 yen in September.
• And what would a rollup be without a couple of reviews from my friends? Shingo pulled together Mirei-san and Sawatari Izumi. And Han-o-licious put forth effort… masturbatory effort… with his review of Arisugawa Shii. What’s with all this Shunya love?
