old anime news and some other shit.

Well, I am a bit short on time today. Got some things I need to get through. So as such, I am going to FLY through things… more or less. Oh yeah, and I closed Onii-chan no Ecchi. And I’ll be setting up a new personal bog soon where I will do occasional articles and stuff. More info on all that later.

Anime/Manga/Games

Figures

And that’s it. FUCK! IT! YEAH! I have to do some work now. I hope you folks had a good weekend. Mine was too short. Fucking time. Ah well! We will talk later. WINK WINK!

I hate you Randall. T_T

hashihime posted a comment in Kurogane’s blog saying that the KyoAni announcement _may_ be fake. But since it’s been so long, could it be true? I really like Lucky Star. A change for the better would be welcome, but could introduce some incongruity maybe.

I’ve said it like four places already, but I can’t help myself…that Yurie figure is too cute for words! Hope they make the other characters from Kamichu! with interlocking bases. That would make me poor.

Well, I’d agree that it is a bit soon to tell.

HOWEVER! Counterpoints to Hashihime:

1. I’d consider not reaching the level of director pretty inline with the sometimes harsh attitude of Japanese business.
2. Animation quality isn’t going to be the only sign. A good group can put together a convincingly good product with a shit director. Likewise, it could have been that HE felt he wasn’t up to the responsibility, or perhaps had trouble working with people (certainly there are pushy directors).
3. As to the pop-up, I could swear I’ve seen such a popup before on Kyoani’s site. Since it’s embarrassing to replace a director, why would you make a full press release page instead of playing it down with a tiny notice?
4. The GoLive! creator tag is a bit weird but it’s entirely possible it’s a template created for announcements to be made by non-savvy people if someone is, say, not at work at the moment, or if it isn’t worth bothering them for. Likewise, most Adobe web products make assumptions about what character set to use, largely based on default settings on the computer itself. Not really an indication of a joke, I’d say. Probably the least compelling evidence.

Still, it’s a bit early to rule out a joke, but I don’t see enough STRONG evidence to conclude that it ISN’T a joke. Guess we will just have to wait for the show to air to find out for sure.

super:
I know! I am seriously considering adding this one to the mix. Though I don’t know if I want to blow my wad for October this early in the year. :’( WHY DO THEY DO THIS TO ME:?!

April 30th, 2007

I agree with super rats about that Yurie figure. That things is so damn good looking! Must own that one… October is so far away, but I agree with you Randall, that thing costs a lot. =_=

I’m definitly in love with the Hakufu figurine ^^
When I started figurine collection, I said to myself “don’t buy more than 1 figurine per character”… well, I’ve already 3 Hakufu, i’m waiting for Kotobukiya’s one, and this hot one buy Griffon Ent. will join the others, for sure xD

What you’re expecting super rats would be just awesome, “interlocking bases” !

I tend to try to do that myself. I will have 4 yuki figures, 3 Haruhis, and a couple of Oono (Genshiken) figures when all is said and done. I have no self control. :’(

I am super stocked for my Kan-u resin from e2046. OH MAN! Metal weapon was one of theh eavy selling points for me. I am sick of bent over PVC weapons.
