Well, well. Shounen Jump’s secret sexpot, Azusagawa Tsukino, has gotten herself into lovely PVC form. I mean, let me just put this out there… wow. What an amazingly beautiful face they’ve put on this PVC. The pose is sexy, but I can’t even bring myself to gawk at it. LOOK AT THAT BEAUTIFULLY EXPRESSIVE FACE! And that lovely hair. It’s just wow. I mean… I just… wow. I am just wasting your time by saying anything else. You need to see it to appreciate it. I mean, tell me I’m not the only one who thinks her facial sculpt awesome? Not to detract from the rest of it, just wow. Anyway, she’s coming out this August from Happinet for the low, low price of 5,229 yen. No scale was listed.
You HIT THIS JUMP right now to check out the four lovely pictures.

That face has to be a shop! XD
Now seriously, I bet even the sculptor went “how did I do that?”
Seriously. It’s so great. I’m just glad I hadn’t gone crazy by thinking it was awesome.
I think some people might miss it because is so subtle; but subtle is harder to pull.
I was wondering, could this be a promo shot? I mean, is it certain that the final thing is going to come out like that? (My experience with figures is very limited)
There has only been one instance where the figure’s final product came out vastly different from the promo shots, and that was with a 1/6 scale Mint. She got all wonky and her colors changed in production.
But usually these promo shots give you about a 99% accurate idea of what it will look like. I leave that 1% there because a lot of times these are pictures of the hand sculpted original, and sometimes paint lines won’t be as clean on the final product, or large paint areas like the hair might be slightly off color. But that’s about it.
I think there are more differences than that. Bases often change and a lot of promo shots don’t include any support posts that might be there in the end. Also the curvature of windswept elements are sometimes less dramatic in the final product. I do find faces tend to change sometimes from promo to pvc, usually the paint details. Sometimes the final looks better and sometimes not. The differences are usually minor though.
The face is definitely cleaned up and there were probably some shadows obscuring the face so they lightened it, but they went a little overboard.
And I’m definitely ordering this one.
PHOTOSHOP! But I would buy that nevertheless. Tsukino is very sexy and she can make my breads.
If the shopped promo shots bug you, just look at the real pics. Pics of the actual figure surfaced at the last big event (WHF was it?)
There’s also, as D-bo mentioned in another thread, the moeyo shots that he takes at Akiba. Good stuff.
She’s really sexy in that way, but seen Tsukino with a bikini disturb me ^^
I prefer the figurine with the usual baker outfits, which is the true face of Tsukino.
But yes, they seem to have done a great job for her face expression, for both models.
Wow! That’s one of the sexiest anime figure I’ve seen. I don’t collect anime figurines but after seeing this, I’m thinking about it. ^_^
