You’ve been waiting, I’ve been waiting, we all have. We’ve been waiting to see some of the luscious beauty of Nantsuiro*Drops hit our screens and finally we have a taste in the form of a streaming trailer. I watched this one, of course, and I must say that the song really didn’t grab me. It was sort of bad, even. The animation looked like it will likely be ok, but it’s a tiny streaming WMV, so it’s hard to say. I also think the people who picked action shots for the trailer did a pretty shitty job putting it all together, as it felt very disjointed and didn’t really convey a sense of the shows energy… that or the show has a really odd, off pace energy. More likely that it’s a shit trailer though.
Anyway, I’ve DailyMotioned it after the jump for WMV/Stream haters. I feel your pain! FEEEL!!!

That song is the epitome of me skipping 1m30s ahead at the start of each episode.
If it didn’t take up the full trailer, I’d have been skipping ahead there. Hopefully it’s the end song. It certainly feels more like an end song.
What we need are more openings like Love Tropicana, Roulette Roulette, and Ichigo Complete. MAKE IT SO, CRAYOTIC!
It was the OP song for the game. Let’s hope they don’t use it for the actual anime opening?
Is this based off of some sort of visual novel or manga, or an unlikely original work? It’s getting harder and harder for me to tell nowadays, but it seems to have the makings of the former. The music didn’t really bother me though. Having no taste really helps.
But what I’d do for more dancing trees. And a crazy bleach-haired professor. That would rock.

It’s a visual novel. Noizi Itou (Suzumiya Haruhi, Shana) did the character designs, but they don’t come through all that strong in the trailer. Low quality might be throwing that off, but I think the characters will lose a lot in this particular transition :’(

I would never have guessed that it was done by Ito. I love what I’ve seen of her art (please don’t hurt me), but this doesn’t look quite like something she would do. Not that it looks bad, though I don’t think it was the video quality that threw it off. It actually just looks very…normal? Some of her other stuff seems to have more pizzaz in it, in my opinion. Is it just the adaption?
I think you can? I’m not 100% sure though, since I am a mod and I can edit everything. Haha.
I actually don’t have a copy of the game, but I would imagine it’s a fairly close adaptation, with liberties taken as you would expect.

On closer inspection, the trailer looks a lot more Itoish than I realized. The eyes and hair are at least intact. Liberties make me sad though. The official game art is just radiating awesome. :)
I’d watch anything to do with Ito Noizi. Except herself.
