WOO! Per what I was trying to tell all the rabid idiots Han got all riled up, Mikuru will be out before Yuki and to prove it for me, Max Factory has posted up at their blog showing off the final paint job on the prototype sculpt of Mikuru. She’s set for a May release and preorders will be hitting pretty soon. There is also a single high res shot of the Yuki sculpt.

The final production line Emma figures (and some of those mech things Max makes.) are in the MaxFac offices. So expect them to ship out this week.

Dare I say it, Mikuru doesn’t look as good as Haruhi. Still, I will be getting it. Ohhhh yeah. I will get the other stuff up later tonight or tomorrow. Depends. I am working on another HUGE SECRET FEATURE. If you know what it is, don’t say. Else I will kill you.

Well, it’s time again to do a round of Big Three announcements. Of course, then I say the big three, I mean the Good Smile banner companies: Max Factory, Alter, and Good Smile Company, Up this time for the announcement runs is Good Smile Company and they have four contenders ready to jump out of the gate and try to pull from friendly market share from Alter and Max. First up, from Fate/hollow ataraxia, is a meido Rin. She’s sporting some interesting colors and a nice base. It almost smacks a bit of, dare I say it, the ladies from Shingetsutan Tsukihime. Anyway, Rin is 1/8 scale and made to match the meido Saber. She’s 185mm and she will be out in May for 4,800 yen.

And, to sort of mildly segue into the next figure, we will take a look a GSC’s latest entrant into the Nendoroid figure series. This time it’s a tiny, freaky Haruhi. YAY! Ok, well, I guess everyone figured out that Haruhi is popular. How is she really, you ask? Well, she’s pretty damn cute. I’ll admit. I like her better than nendoroid Saber. She stands 100mm tall and all her swappable parts come to you for a scant 3,000 yen this May.

Wow, net went down last night. Just got back. WOO! Ok, next up is Alice L. Malvin. She’s not all dressed up like the GONZO figure, but she certainly has a certain charm in her Pumpkin colored suit. PUMPKIN! AHHHH HAHAHA! Anyway, she is out in May for 5,800 yen. She’s 180mm tall and 1/8 scale.

And lastly, from H2O ~Footprints in the Sand~, comes Kobinata (or Kohinata, not sure) Hayami. Hayami is looking nice and reserved in her cute sundress. Well, it’s sort of dark for a sundress, but who cares. She’s holding a pinwheel which adds a nice touch to the figure overall. I like it, I suppose. May, 200mm, 4,500

Well, being as it will be a little while before I get around to the figures, I figured I’d clue you guys in to the keen free full first episode of Reideen that is up and about on the intertrons today. If you’re into the sort of AMAZING ACTION that comes along with OLD MECH SHOW REMAKES then you will have neck-hairs on end to know that a DRMed stream of episode one of the aforementioned show is online for your enjoyment. The show hits on WOWOW on March 3rd.

Though not at all related, I still feel that both of these trailers should go here. First is the Yes! Precure 5 trailer that was just released giving an episode one preview. The show is set to air on February 4th. Streaming version is here, YouTube after the brizzle. That’s black talk for break. Secondly is a trailer for the upcoming snore-fest Tetsujin 28 movie. The remake thing. It’s called Tetsujin 28 gou: Hakuchuu no Zangetsu. It hosts a flash trailer on the website. The movie hits on March 31st. The last button on the right side gets you the trailer.

Hot on the heels of the trailer for the super-sized boxed set for the show, Dr. Slump Arale-chan is getting a new movie! That’s right! Possibly the larger part of the news is that it is set to hit theaters March 3rd as part of a double feature with One Piece: Episode of Alabaster. Boy howdy do I love double features! Go ahead and enjoy that post icon.

Are you an IDOLM@STER fan? Oh yes you are. Admit it you fairy! We all know what you do at night with your pretty Polly princess dolls! Anyway, some adventurous soul went out and braved the throngs of 12 year old girls to grab a copy of the collectors edition of IDOLM@STER for the Xbox 360. Whew. Has it already been that long? Well, by golly, I suppose that makes it high time for I to done and did a Weekend Rollup. Man, I’ve really sucked at coming up with shit to waste type space on lately. Ah well. Such is the bread, and all that. Not a very eventful week. Had to grab some new computer parts over the weekend. I am running on a Core 2 Duo now, so hopefully that puts me in a good place for a few years to come. I will need to grab a DX10 video card, but that’s about it. Oh, and some extra RAM. • IDOLM@STER the game is out and PSX certainly knows how to bring the funk thunder the right way. Mmmm, chubby maids.
• Nanatsuiro*Drops has a tentative release set for July. I added this and about 10 other anime to ikiKOYOMI. Not as much as I wanted to get done, but oh well.
• There’s a Love and Berry anime in the works. You can grab all the info about it over this way.
• Kotetsu Shin Jeeg is getting a remake. The remake of the Go Nagai classic from 1975 is due out on WOWOW at 11PM on April 5th. Be sure to check… you know.. your local listing.
• Seto no Hanayome is due out this April. A firm date hasn’t been laid down yet, but you can always just give a gander at the sexy website. IT CAN ONLY GET SEXIER FROM HERE!
• GONZO is planning a pre-screening of Romeo x Juliet on March 18th. Details at the site I linked. Yessir.
• Kono Aozora Ni Yakusoku Wo, THE AWARD WINNING eroge is reportedly getting an anime. YAY FOR EROGE ANIME!
• A Keroro Movie 2 trailer is online. Moetron will give you your fix.
• Gyao’s Bandai Channel has 13 episodes of the now old Azumanga Daioh anime online until February 13th. Reposting this is like molesting a dead horse.
• Maybe this is old news, I don’t remember. But Kiddy Grade is getting a second season. It feels like I already knew that. Still, looks sexy. Rawr. No date is out yet. Looks like it’ll be an OVA.
• Alrighty. BAM! Dr. Slump trailer. Man, 243 episodes in two boxed sets. Here’s the skinny. The first box “NCha” contains episodes 1-120, 2 TV specials, 15 gashapon, and a bonus short for 105,000 yen. Wow. It’s out March 23rd. The second box, “Hoyoyo,” has episodes 121-243, 4 gashapon, and a bonus features disc. Same price on September 14th. Both boxes contain “more.” So whatever that means. • Adult Source Media has picked up 8 Yakin Byouto OVAs. Please to enjoy. Uncensored and uncut.

And Glory be to Max Factory for this beautiful PVC deliciousness that they have bestowed upon us. Awwww yeah. Ok, well, enough of my drooling over the single best figure manufacturer on the planet. First up, and continuing in their Shining Tears bathing suit line, is the lovely Ryuna. Surely some of you are having images of gunXsword’s Fasalina. I know I did. She’s pretty plain in the scheme of things, and is probably the least interesting of the lot. And her boobs are a little bit awkwardly shaped. Still, it’s not one of those figures I would expect to be on the high list for greatness. She will run you 4,800 yen, stands 245mm and is 1/7 scale. Worth picking up if you like the character or are collecting the set.

Secondly, and the one I am preordering as soon as it shows up on HLJ, is this AMAZING WONDERFUL, DYNAMIC Himawari figure. I love Himawari so much, I can’t begin to explain it. No one else in America seemed to dig it. Fansubbers certainly didn’t give it the love it deserved. Himawari is holding tomatoes or something and the post is just awesome and amazing. I am getting it. You can’t talk me out of it. She’s 1/8 scale, 200mm tall, and will run you 4,800 yen.

Just a few quick updates about the site, and a link to some nice figure scoopage. Let’s get right into it. I’ve updated ikiKOYOMI’s e-mailing to use a better system, so now e-mail alerts are being sent out in both plain-text, and HTML formats so that links work and all that juice business. I’ve also added the time and date of events to their popups on the calendar, to make it a bit easier to keep their release date and time in mind. Let me know if you have any issues. Oh, and right now, I’m aware of the text e-mails are being a bit weird. I’ll be fixing that. Don’t worry.

Secondly, I’ve updated the blog to WordPress 2.1. It’s got some good new features, blah blah. Everything seems to be working just fine, but if you notice an issues then drop me a line. You shouldn’t see too much different on the frontend, if any. It should run faster and have some better… you know, stuff. Lots of good admin tools for me to help keep the site running better. Oh, and if you are a comment RSS kind of guy/lady then you will be happy to know the comments are all in the RSS and not just the last 10.

Lastly, I wanted to point out some figure scoopage that Han from Riuva posted up. It’s got some Max Factory Yuki news. EH?! EHHH?!?!?! YAY! Judging from the order they released sculpt news, Mikuru will be out first. WHO CARES THOUGH?! Welp, that’s all. I’m going to go to sleep.
