Well, lord knows we’ve been waiting for it for long enough, and it’s finally getting down to the home stretch. The official website for the PS2 version of everyone’s favorite Type Moon eroge is online. Yep! Fate/stay night [Realta Nua]‘s website is online and contains some good info on the game. Firstly, they’ve removed the eroero parts. This is standard. Come on people. Moving on from that, there’s new music, voice acting, scenes, events, and even a new opening animation. The game comes in a normal version (just the game) and an “extra edition.” The extra edition packs in some fun stuff. There’s a card game (on disc, not literal cards) that looks to be some fun, though I’m not sure of the play mechanic and a… Saber goblet figure… thing. To explain it more properly, it is a goblet shaped bust of Saber with heightened sides to make the goblet obvious. The game is due out later this year with the extra edition costing 9,240 yen and the normal version running the standard 7,140 yen. Ultimate Blade Works jokes are now topical again. Oh, and be sure to check out the gallery under “Graphics.”
In unrelated game news, if you live in the USA, be sure to stop by a Best Buy. I hear they have PS3 kiosks set up. I am going to check it out over lunch, I will report back when I find something out. In the mean time, let me know if your local store has one set up. Update: There was nothing at my local Best Buy. Damn it all. Of course, the last kiosk change they did was nearly a year ago. Wow. Sad. Anyway, I made a Frappr map so that you don’t waste your time going to a place that’s already been hit and confirmed without a kiosk. Please contribute if you’ve checked any places.
