Strange and Cute Figure/Jewelry Rollup
by Randall Fitzgerald on Sep.20, 2006, under figures, japan
Well, I had an interesting lot of things from the figure news today. Most of it doesn’t really warrant its own post, so I figured I’d throw together a quick rollup mentioning the items so that I could get through it pretty quickly and move on to the one figure set that will be posted alone. Haha. Ingenious!?
First up, and I actually sort of like this without being able to speak for the quality, we have some Jewelry pieces from Shakugan no Shana via Cospa. While, upon closer inspection, they don’t appear to be the most well crafted of items, they are neither hard on the pocketbook. Firstly, you have Shana’s pendant which houses… that god guy… Allastier? I don’t remember and I’m not looking it up. And on the second hand, you have Yuji’s ring what he got from the mage people. Personally, I like the ring a lot better than Shana’s pendant, but tastes will vary. For Shana’s pendant it’ll be 2,940 yen and only 2,100 yen for Yuji’s ring on a bead chain (like dogtags). Both are out this October.
Next on the list, from Exhaust, is a plushie-Shrine-Maiden Tousaka Rin from Fate/hollow ataraxia. It looks to be a pretty standard plushie, if a bit bigger than some of the previous offerings (not all). She stands about 300mm tall and will run you 3,150 yen this December.
Last up is a set of trading figured that sort of resemble toothpaste tanks. If I am not mistaken this 10 piece 1BOX of trading figures is from a thing called Soft Tanks and they go around being cute and saving… I’m just making things up past “Soft Tanks.” Anyway, the items in question are keychains of the tanks, presumably some sort of squishy material or fluff-filled fabric thingy. I’m assuming the former. These little squishy death machines will be out in October for 2,625 yen.
A scant set of pictures after the jump. Enjoy them anyway.

Hmm, those Shana jewellery pieces look pretty fun. But on the second thought, Shanas pendant (housing Alastor or who-not, also can’t bother to check up) looks pretty dull when thinking about the core, it looks like solid rock slapped in the middle, nothing else. Yujis ring still looks great though, *adds to “maybe” list of articles*

Yeah, I am considering grabbing one of the Yuji rings. It’s cheap and pretty keen. >.> I hope it doesn’t fall apart after a week. Haha.
