• I just read some news by way of Neversoft (good work on the Tony Hawk games. Project 8 looks good), disturbing news, that they will not being including online play in their upcoming PS3 title because they haven’t gotten the docs and components for PS3′s network stuff. This isn’t Japan specific, but it certainly makes me worry for what Sony has planning for the online model. I mean, it sounds good on paper, but paper leaves out a lot of details that this could be hinting at problems for. Don’t fuck this up Sony! I’m not married to a need for Xbox Live style online shit, but it should be status quo with this system you’re pushing.
• Jigoku Shoujo is getting a live action series. It starts on November 4th at 25:20.
• Death Note has had the homepage opened for its anime TV series. The show goes on the air on October 3rd.
• The totally-not-as-sexually-driven-as-I’d-hoped IDOL M@STER XENOGLOSSIA website is preopened.
• Sega’s Bleach Game is reportedly going to introduce a new character, which was overseen by Kubo Tite. The character, named Altoro, will be voiced by Seki Tomokazu.
• Ain’t It Cool News did an interview with Robby Yu who is ends up mentioning a Blood: The Last Vampire live-action movie. So, things look good. Looks like production will start in October or November.
• Looks like Hobby Japan launched a new magazine that serializes light novels. The magazine is called Novel JAPAN and it start its run on September 9th.

• Are you a fan of Super BlackJack? How about Rio? Don’t lie. I know you are. Even the ladies that read this go in for her supple bosom. Ahem. Well, Tora no Ana has some good Rio snacks for you in the form of this Fine Scenery Rio with a big Heaven or Hell scythe. Not sure how big she is, but for 7,140 yen this November, I hope she’s at least 1/7th.
• Next up! Changing Tomo-chan. She basically just changes outfits and stuff. Yeah. 4,200 yen this November from C-Works.
• I know you love SRDX figures, so here’s Lyon from Gensousuikoden V. She’s the hero’s bodyguard in the game. Figure is kind of ugly. But on the plus side she only costs 2,625 yen. She’s out this November.
• Mahou Dukai Kurohime? Eh? Yeah, you can pick up your very own shitty SRDX Kurohime for a scant 2,625 yen this November.
• Takaya Noriko from Top wo Nerae is coming your way from Kaiyodo. She looks pretty good, especially for a Kaiyodo figure. It’ll be out in December for 4,725 yen. Woohoo!
• Some Onegai My Melody figures of… Walnut? A type is a pink meido with a chair and… pinkness. B-type comes with a stairs backdrop with a black maid outfit going on. Yeah. Nothing exciting. They are both 7,140 yen this December.
• Speaking of meido obsessed people, they can get their hands on an International Compilation of Maid’s 1BOX. It’s 12 pieces and features maids from all over the world. Makes sense. They look pretty nice too. 7,560 yen this December.
• Oh, Yamato-kun. How loverly are your alternate color sets for your figures. This time, Sheep-chan is getting her due with a sexy purple color scheme. I like it better than the first run.
