Whoops. Here I go getting started all late in the damn day. My boots discs for my PS2 still aren’t here yet. How can a man play imported games without bootdiscs?! Ah well! They’ll get here one way or another. But enough of that crap. Let’s go ahead and get on with the Rollup action, hot and fresh for you. FRESH! But hey, let’s all go to Olney, Illinois and see the largest population of albino squirrels in the country. United States, that is. Sorry. I just thought you might want to visit Olney and see some squirrels.

Edit: I added five new banners and five new avatars. So visit the avatar page and check them out and keep an eye out for the new banners. WOO!

Anime/Manga/Games

  • I just read some news by way of Neversoft (good work on the Tony Hawk games. Project 8 looks good), disturbing news, that they will not being including online play in their upcoming PS3 title because they haven’t gotten the docs and components for PS3′s network stuff. This isn’t Japan specific, but it certainly makes me worry for what Sony has planning for the online model. I mean, it sounds good on paper, but paper leaves out a lot of details that this could be hinting at problems for. Don’t fuck this up Sony! I’m not married to a need for Xbox Live style online shit, but it should be status quo with this system you’re pushing.
  • Jigoku Shoujo is getting a live action series. It starts on November 4th at 25:20.
  • Death Note has had the homepage opened for its anime TV series. The show goes on the air on October 3rd.
  • The totally-not-as-sexually-driven-as-I’d-hoped IDOL M@STER XENOGLOSSIA website is preopened.
  • Sega’s Bleach Game is reportedly going to introduce a new character, which was overseen by Kubo Tite. The character, named Altoro, will be voiced by Seki Tomokazu.
  • Ain’t It Cool News did an interview with Robby Yu who is ends up mentioning a Blood: The Last Vampire live-action movie. So, things look good. Looks like production will start in October or November.
  • Looks like Hobby Japan launched a new magazine that serializes light novels. The magazine is called Novel JAPAN and it start its run on September 9th.

Figures

That’s it for today! All of those figures are from last weeks batch, so I am expecting a large cache of figure news for tomorrow. But am I the only one that is ready for all the consoles to be out already so this shitfest faggotry that Kotaku, Joystiq, and even Penny Arcade are pushing along? Just like the consoles! Let’s all play the games to have fun! FUN! That’s why we’re here! We started playing games for entertainment, not for brand loyalty. So get your asses back in the proper frame of mind and buy the shit that looks fun, and in all honesty, both the upcoming consoles are looking pretty damn fun. I will own all three and they will all serve me will. For the record, I am most excited for the PS3. FFXIII, MGS4… mmmm. I am excited about Heavenly Sword, too. That shit looks win. I am way excited about testing out the three sword forms. WOO! Sorry, I was off on a tangent there. Have a killer Monday.

God, was Jigoku Shoujo that popular in Japan? Like, popular enough to be adapated into a live action series? I mean, sure it was a fun series but had a good amount of flaws. If anything, live action would only make it more cheesy.

Apparently it was. I mean, don’t forget that it’s getting a second season as well. Weird though, I haven’t seen much in the way of PVC for it. The mystery behind deciding what gets made and what doesn’t will always confound me.

Well, if it’s getting a live action series I’d imagine it had a more mainstream appeal, and mainstream people don’t really buy PVCs. Besides, would you really want an Enma Ai PVC? How would you be able to sleep at night with those eyes always looking at you. Always.

I absolutely would! Them eyes is sexeh! SEXEH I SAYS!
