Ok, now as much as I shit talk Neon Genesis, even I have to shut up and like this figure, and that’s saying a lot. Especially with all the crap NGE figures that are floating around these days. So, from (just romanizing here) Amie Guran comes this lovely 1/6 scale Gosurori Ayanami Rei. While the base is a bit too metallic to sit along side the 200mm tall kneeling figure, I have to forgive it because it really sports a nice pose, nice outfit, nice carving all around, and it just excels where a lot of other figures have fallen flat. The tones on the shirt are subtle, and the chain running from her lace choker might end up out of place in the final product, it looks pretty good in the product shots. So let’s rejoice for now and call it a win, except for the price. It’ll stab your wallet and rob it of 14,490 yen this November.
