Yeah, that’s right. You Kanon fans can suck it, because it’s been announced that Shuffle! will be getting a directors cut and that it will be airing on broadcast TV in Japan. None of that DVD special, omake, super plus edition bullshit, no sir. This one is going to be piped right into our sexy living room, so freaks like wildarmsheero can watch it on their Shuffle! bed sheets. Well, I was going to link to it, but his page is all suspended. Haha. That’s what happens when you go posting loli, man. I tell you. Ok, not really. It looks like his host has some issues with spoofing. Anyway, enough about him. The Shuffle! director’s cut will feature a new opening and ending, added story elements (hopefully some of the better ones. The first run was woefully lacking in proper character development), and new animation. I don’t recall the animation being all that bad, but any improvement is always a welcome change. The official title is Shuffle! Memories and it’s set to broadcast this winter. No link because this news is also in the October Newtype.

Wait a second… so is it just extended old episodes or a completely new (completely re-animated) show?
It's my understanding that it certain scenes will be reanimated, but not the entire series. So yes it's extended old episodes, but not the same old episodes exactly. I haven't seen anything on how extensive the additions will be.
If it would indeed be completely re-animated, I'd be utterly happy for it :D Well, maybe they'll re-animate some of the episodes/parts, not all of them, but dunno as it's "added story elements".
Hmm… well, guess one thing's for sure, I feel a little sorry for those who already bought the old version…

I’d like to see a Shuffle!: The End of Shuffle, but instead of Psychology 101, it’d be Harem 496, you know? Advanced Doing-It-With-All-The-Chicks-Including-Asa’s-Mom. And how could you choose a chick who fucking boxcuttered your eye?! (spoilers). Though, I felt absolutely fucking horrible for her. You can be there for her.
