I’m as big a fan of wandering female chefs as the next guy, but when I think “wandering female chef” I think “Akane,” you know? Sorry. I got distracted. Anyway, Teppan Shoujo Akane, a manga about a wandering female chef, is going to be turned into a live action television series. Horikita Maki will be playing Akane in the series, but there aren’t any other cast members announced as of yet, but I’m sure there will be before too long. The manga’s cult following landed the live action show a spot on TBS at 21:00 on October 15th. I wouldn’t be surprised to see an anime come out of this one, especially if the live action does well. Hell, I’d watch the anime. I don’t really do dorama though.
