If you’re one of those people who looks at the Witchblade figures and wonders how in the hell they go from ass-out super skank to the stuff in the anime, well, Gonzo has the answer for you. That answer is “We had to, and we’re sorry.” They’re so sorry, in fact, that for the DVD release of the show they’ve drawn the scenes to have everyone’s favorite alien-weaponed crime fighter wearing a more… appropriate level of clothing. Yes, I mean less. But don’t take my word for it. They’ve gone ahead and posted up some comparison shots on the official Witchblade site site. Please to enjoy.

They should do something like that, but with NHK ni Youkoso! I’m not in the “they butchered it!” side, but it’s obvious it’s VERY watered down.
