Wow, I slacked off today. Sorry about that. I’ve been watching Gaki no Tsukai. If you haven’t seen it you should watch some. Anyway, I’m going to catch up on a bit of game news today since there wasn’t much new in the figure world, so here we go. Lots of trailers. Hope you’re ready.
Anime/Manga/Games
- A new Raiden game is in the works and moss is doing a location test at HEY in Akiba.
- Shikigami no Shiro III is getting a Windows port. I liked Shikigami no Shiro II… maybe that’s just me, though.
- No one will shut up about this Aussie going in a huge used game store in Gumyo in Togane.
- Square’s Mariosketball 3×3 thing they’re doing will feature cameos from Square games. Namely the people from FF1 and a Cactaur.
- Babel, a doujin circle you should all fear and respect, will be putting out their Mahjong doujin game, Rozen Ma-jyon, at Comiket 70. Presumably it will include naughty undressing featuring the Rozen Maiden ladies.. I’m not sure though.
- MoonPhase is saying there’s going to be a second season of Black Lagoon, though it’s based on a rumor that lacks any proof at the moment. Maybe MP knows something we don’t.
- Shonen Sunday Magazine announced that it will be publishing manga adaptations of Darren Shan‘s children’s books. Well, books for children by Darren Shan… not his kid’s books.
- Kanon trailer[ASX]! Show starts in October.
- Bleach movie trailer! You know you want it. There’s two but they use the same footage.
- if you’ve been waiting for Innocent Venus, then there’s now a trailer to help you cope[ASX].
- YTV (Canadians?) announced that there will be a Detective Conan live action show, to be set before the anime.
- tj han, that sly fox, did an interview with a cosplayer calling herself Lenneth. He’s all moe for her. They’re totally going to kiss. I read about it online.
- I would have sword it was meant for a later date, but Toonami’s FREE online video service called JetStream is online and serving up full episodes of all your favorite Toonami stuff.
- Sasami ~ Mahou Shoujo Club is getting a second season. Yay… I guess?
- Taiwanese people are doing a live action Slam Dunk movie. I’m confused too. Why am I posting this?
- If you’re a Production I.G. fan you’ll be pleased with their new clappa! site that will give you exclusive info on their productions.
- Nikkei Net says Square is making an MMORPG sequel to FFXI for the PS3, Xbox360, and PC. Hopefully they remember to put the fun in it this time.
Figures
- There wasn’t a lot so let me do it fast, so I can watch some stuff I was watching. Haha.
- A couple of resin kits from Griffon. First is Tokiha Mai from Mai-HiME (I DO WHAT I WANT) and she will run you 9,240 yen at the end of this month. Or maybe she’s out. I don’t think she is though.
- Again from Griffon is Eve from Black Cat. Same price and release date. I still hate the way that they do that brownish color… looks gross.
- Suigintou sitting on a cross sound like your kinda thing? She’ll be out in September for 3,780 yen. I like the looks of it.
- School Rumble trading figures from Alter. The 10 piece 1BOX will cost you 4,000 yen in September. I hope Alter does them up proper.
- Damn, I’m not even writing a lot, but it’s taking time. MADNESSSSS!!!
- Erisu from Canvas… or was it Canvas 2. I think it was Canvas 2. Chalk this one up to Toys Planning. She’s due out in October for 4,500 yen. Celebrate!
- Last on the list is Iori from I”s Pure by… Shiemuzu Corporation? I tried to sound that out properly to get the name, but it’s just not familiar to me. Haha, Sorry. She’s due out in September for 3,575 yen and stands about 15.5cm tall.
And that’s it. You guys go do something productive, like file a lawsuit against a large corporation for something that couldn’t possibly be their fault. Whew. Got a lot of stuff to deal with in the background here. Busy without even having a lot of stuff to do. Don’t you hate it?
Sch Rumble trading figures!!!
Thanks for that wonderful contribution.
Well, nice startup for the morning. Nothing beats a big cup of coffee & reading the morning news, mainly BBC/Reuters and of course, ikimashou :D
A sequel to FFXI they say? Well I hope it’s something they devote more than a cover & concept, the orig. FFXI was great entertainment for a while, but it was lacking something to keep me on it. Another thought, I wonder if they do it inital “PC” and then port it for the consoles, or vice versa.
On the figures though, I almost fell of the chair on when I spotted Erisu [or El(l)is as I like to call her], and yeah it’s from Canvas 2. Well when the page loaded, it was a little sigh. But for 4500 yen, it’s reasonable, but am I the only one having the first impression like they really should have kept her mouth shut. It looks… well, something less appealing. Oh well, still a definite get for me, a huge Canvas 2 fan :D
Then the Suigintou one, it’s something like they did the Suigintou first and after that thought about where she should sit. The cross looks neat but the platform looks like something else (loss on words eh). Maybe it’s just me, but they really should have tried something else as the material for it.
