If you’re an NHK fan, and you might be, you probably already knew this, I mean, even I knew it, but I was done blogging for the day, so there you go. Anyway, back on topic, NHK ni Youkoso, the anime based on the hit manga series with hit art by Oiwa Kendi based on the hit novel hit by Takimoto Tatsuhiko hit, has had its site put up. Well, it was up yesterday, but I explained all that already. Anyway, the show is set to air on July 9th on a bunch of channels. The site currently has character, story, staff, and OP/ED information.
Please Please Please GONZO don’t fuck it up. And please bestow it animation quality superior to Kyoani’s. Onegaishimasu tanobude gozaimasu. Whatever.

Well, I think GONZO could definitely do a good job with the series, maybe give it some good quality animation like the opening to Densha Otoko. Although, hopefully they take it seriously. But, gonZo has a pretty good trasck record for dealing with stuff like this, I think.
GONZO has a pretty good track record of butchering adaptations. Eg. Saikano, FMP(not really but the characters were drawn quite badly) etc. etc.
Their butchering of Witchblade designs is also kewl. But I forgive them for including a cute loli character.
But what about Black Cat, Chrno Crusade, Kiddy Grade, and Hellsing. All those came out pretty well, especially for adaptations. I mean, it’s sort of like turning ab ook into a movie, it’s bound to fall short on some counts, but overall I think they do a good job.
Plus Saikano was trash from the get go. Booo Saikano. :D
…. Chise is crying. Damn you. :( Ahem.
Anyway Black Cat was seriously screwed up. I think they saved budget on that. The manga is a million times better, I have to full set(yay).
Chrno Crusade got lucky.
Kiddy Grade has a cute loli. Forgiven. Otherwise it’s quite flowless. Look carefully it’s FLOWLESS not flAwless.
OMFG Hellsing is the worst production from GONZO ever. Wait that’s reserved for Black Cat. So Hellsing comes second on the butchered crap list. Alucard must be damn pissed. The “sequel” seems much better though.
Personal opinions though. I’m a GONZO supporter for their GK/GK21 productions. Please don’t let them screw things up again, or I’ll finally #$%#$^ myself and join the Kyoani fanbase. Wait a minute, I’m already their fan. GG GONZO, don’t disappoint me kudasai.
