I have never been a fan of depressing shows. They’re sad. And based on the description of Binbou Shimai Monogatari, it sounds like it could be a pretty depressing show, even though it’s only 10 episodes or so. At any rate, animate.tv is hosting a Windows Media trailer for the upcoming story about two poor sisters, trying to make it on their own. For your enjoyment, I will link straight to the broadband version of the 40-second trailer. There is a narrowband version on the site too, but I won’t sully my beautiful site with such heresy. The trailer itself shows a good deal of smiling, so maybe we are talking about an uplifting show, but who knows. the trailer also showed the only production still that has been released to stall for time, with the show set to start airing on June 29th it makes one wonder how much they’ve animated so far. Haha. Maybe it will be like Paddington Bear-level animation or something.

Based on first 8 chapters from manga I wouldn’t say that BSM is depressing, seems to be more like happy slice of life show.

Well that’s certainly good to hear. The title doesn’t really inspire that feeling. I suppose I will be checking this one out on the 29th then. :D
