I know whaty ou Ninja Gaiden fans are thinking. Well, it’s about damn time Kotobukiya got it together and gave us the Rachel PVC that we so rightfully deserve. Well, if you care so much that you’re saying that but haven’t been keeping an eye on things, then I’ve got great news! The Rachel PVC went on sale today! That’s right. For a mere 8,190 yen (good god) you can pick up this wonderfully detailed 1/6 scale beast. Be sure to grab it fast though, no doubt they will sell out in a hurry.
Oh yeah, picture after the jump.

Yum! I’m not going to jump on this right away because Diamond will be distributing Rachel for the Western market in June. Western fans will be able to get her over here for a price that won’t be such a shock to the wallet.
For 8,190¥, her clothes better come off! ;-P
I suppose that’s the plus side of having there be a popular game in both countries. It probably helps a bit that she is much more realistically modeled, face wise, than most PVCs. She closer matches the resins the American comic market churns out…
But good god. 8,190?! Why!? I bet it’s that woodgrain base. Fancy, schmancy.
And those clothes look pretty well modeled on there. A man can dream though. Haha.
That wood base probably won’t be wood. I have the 1/6th Ninja Gaiden Ayane and she too was photographed standing atop a wood base. But the base that’s included with the figure was molded black plastic with a fake wood grain texture. :-P
It’s a great figure, great license and I’m sure the quality is high but 8,190 is really pushing it. Diamond’s SRP is listed at $40 USD. Guess they’re really hoping the T&A factor will be good enough to pry quite a few wallets open.
I can see Rachel going for crazy dollars on eBay though.
Oh, BTW, Sera-chan is being distributed by Diamond later this year as well! Yay! I hope they plan on distributing all the Shunya Yamashita figures as well.
From what I’ve read, Rachel is one hot property in Japan. Every one liked her the best and is sad about her not being in this or that game, or in NG2, or so Itagaki says. Oh well. That is my guess. Just milking her popularity as a character. You know how often a brief supporting character gets latched on to.
And woohoo@Sera-chan. Considering she’s mail order only in Japan, we’re actually going to get the better deal out of that one. Haha.
