Serenity better not call me, if she knows what's good for her...Realbuzz, the company responsible for the absolutely disgusting Serenity series of books, is about to drop another load onto the American retail market. That’s right, gentle reader. Is there not enough Jesus in your Japanese picture book? When you read Naruto, do you think, “Wow, there really should have been more parables from the bible interjected into that fight scene?” Becuase if you do, then you will just LOVE the three new books from Realbuzz and Barbour Publishing. The books include… you know what, I’m not even going to pretend to advertise this garbage. You people have crossed the line. I hope your offices get razed. Stop pushing your religious drivel off as manga, and stop pretending like forgiveness, responsibility, and unconditional love are Christian morals. They’re everyone’s morals.

Barbour Publishing and Realbuzz Studios Announce THE Release of Three New Manga Series

Ground-Breaking SERENITY Publishing/Producing Team Continue to Push Creative Envelope in Inspirational Marketplace

Uhrichsville, OH—February 21, 2006. Barbour Publishing and Realbuzz Studios announce the creation and publication later this year of three (3) new series for the inspirational market. The duo, publisher and creators of America’s Premier Inspirational Manga (sm), continue their collaboration, which presently includes the precedent-setting Youth Christian Best-Seller series SERENITY: Bad Girl in Town.

The three new series will include a continuation of the best-selling SERENITY series entitled LIFE! CAMERA! ACTION! STARRING SERENITY as well as two series introducing entirely new characters and situations: HITS AND MISSES—the story of a girls’ fast-pitch softball team battling to save their school; and GOOFYFOOT GURL—a whimsical tale set within the surfing lifestyle. All three series will continue to broaden and deepen the demographics established by SERENITY and incorporate certain exciting (and innovative) format changes.

True to the ever-evolving manga style—a Japanese style of comic book with artistic design focusing on large, expressive eyes and other techniques—all three series tackle important topics and share solid inspirational values while remaining entertaining and fun.

“We are extremely pleased that booksellers and consumers have embraced the story of SERENITY,” said Jason Anzalone, Marketing Director of Barbour Publishing. “The graphic-novel format is really exploding, and the SERENITY series is one of the first in the manga style to be introduced to Christian and inspirational booksellers. We believe we have barely scratched the surface, especially in the inspirational teen girls market.”

“Even in the secular manga community, the sales of SERENITY have been very significant,” said Buzz Dixon, cofounder of Realbuzz Studios. “We are extremely happy and pleased to build on our successful relationship with Barbour with the upcoming 12 volumes (four in each series) while continuing the release of the initial SERENITY series.”

Volume Three in the SERENITY series, Basket Case, will be released March 1, 2006. Additional SERENITY volumes will release every other month. The new series will begin releasing Fall 2006 and continue into 2007. For more information, visit www.RealbuzzStudios.com, www.serenitybuzz.com, or www.barbourbooks.com.
