Pia ThumbThe sculptor of the upcoming Kinshita Takako figure, from Pia Carrot he Youkoso! 3, has posted up a set of review images to give people a better idea of how the finished product looks. The figure is possibly going to be out February 17th, but nothing has been confirmed regarding that. The figure, being produced by Wafuudou Ganguten, is the typical 1/8 scale and doesn’t currently have an announced price.

A few pictures after the jump. Anyone else a little underwhelmed by the hair? They were supposed to fit two per line, but I was a few pixels off. Oh well. I’m not going to fix it. BWAHAHA!

The hair from the front looks alright; a paint wash and some highlights would look keen. But she looks like she’s got a bit of the ‘helmet hair’ thing going on at the back. I haven’t seen Pia Carrot so I don’t know how ‘on spec’ the figure is. It’s a prototype so changes could still be forthcoming.

Overall it’s a nice figure. The use of the shawl gives it some nice movement.

I don’t know. The hair in the front just seems a little rigid. Maybe it reminds me too much of my cheap Love Hina PVC. I think from a bit more distance it starts to look ok, but probably you’re right and it needs some highlights or what have you. But yeah, she is lacking a bit of definition in the back side there. Hopefully they will improve that before it ships, as I’m sure this thing is going to cost a decent penny.

Yeah, I do definately like the shawl. It adds a nice bit of color and motion to an otherwise pretty normal figure. Gives the casual collector a bit more reason to consider it.

I think you’re right. The bangs look okay when considered alone, but they look quite static when compared to the movement of the pony tail and the shawl.

Yeah, it’s like… she looks like a PVC and her hair looks plastic or something. I dunno. Hard to put the finger exactly on it for me. It just stands out too much against the rest of the character.
