Kotobukiya has laid down their merciful hand and given us the ability to begin preordering their insanely cute Moetan OneCoin trading figures. The figures, due out in an undecided part of May, will run you 6,825 yen. Now keep in mind, that is for the box containing all of the pictures, so it’s really not that bad. There are five figures in total, with three accessories.
A lovely picture after the jump.

Oh noe! Say it ain’t soe! I’m falling for the moe!
Seriously… I tend to overlook collecting the cutesy figures but after seeing these, some Pinky St. incarnations and the Figumate Rumble Roses line, I might just have to get me some.
Ok, that was just… that was horrible. Hahaha.
Yeah, Pinky drew me in and since then most of the cute stuff I see just sort of makes me want it. Ichimashi and Bottle Fairy and stuff like that. Sometimes it feels wrong watching that stuff, like maybe I need to see some killing, but then I just sort of glaze over from all the cute.
Also, aren’t those accessories awesome? And normally, I don’t like bunny girls, but the one from this set is my favorite. Needs more like that!
ahhh kawaaiiii!
It doesn’t sound so bad if you put a beat behind it. 8-P
LOL! I love the pencil character accessory! I might use that on a temporary logo.
The cutesy stuff tends to have a more universal appeal too, something that even non-anime fans can appreciate.
I’ve got a few things on order that are coming out in May. I should be careful! I might inadvertently have all my pre-orders come in during the same month and my wallet would simply disintegrate from the strain. :P
I hope my local source gets a case and sells singles. If I can’t have the case, I’d love to be able to grab at least one or two.
Yeah, I have planned my pre-orders to be about one per month, but it’s getting rough with all this stuff coming out. I’m having to do rethinks on what I have orders, or maybe just stretch it thin and hope I make it. Haha.
While cutesy stuff can have a more wide appeal, I’ve noticed that when the cutesy stuff is little girls or whatever it can have the opposite effect. Lots of people see it as some weird perverted thing, when it’s obviously only a cute way of representing a character. So I think it could be like that with these characters, what with them wearing bunny suits and dresses and being all small. Even if it’s not a violently bad reaction, it still might not amount to appeal.
Just stick some gun accessories on them. Now they’re “action figures.” Nothing says manly like an assault rifle. ;)
Tell that to Henrietta! :D
Uh, well… Maybe she’s got a little futanari action going on under there. You never know. ^_^;
Wait… Henrietta or the Moetan figures? Now I’m all confused at which when I should be trying to see under. Haha.
