Good Smile Company put out the good word today that they will be releasing a figure from Gunslinger Girl. The 1/8 scale Henrietta figure will be around 160mm tall and will cost you the tiny sum of 4,200 yen. The figure is due out in May, but pre-orders are open right now.
I’ve always loved the character design from Gunslinger Girl, I might have to pick this on up. A production shot after the jump.
Haven’t seen much of Gunslinger Girl myself. She carries an FN-P90 in there doesn’t she? It’d be cool if that violin case could open.
Yeah, she knows how to sling that P90 around too. It’s not my favorite gun, but it worked for her, so more power to her.
That would be sweet though, to have the violan case hing open. But then, pushing moving parts through production is always troublesome. Quality tends to go down. But maybe that will do it! :D
Still, to me, something seems a bit off about her. Maybe it’s the coloring. But then, I think maybe it’s the lack of soft focus on her at all times like in the show.

If I was more a Gunslinger fan, re-casting the case and modifying it so it could open would definitely be on my ‘to do’ list. But finding a 1/8th scale P90 on its own might be a bit tough.
Haha, I could develop a complex if I squint my eyes everytime I look at a character. Or some sort of nervous twitch.
Yeah, why don’t they even make good 1/8 scale weapons? I guess that would want to be able to put all of the detail into it… well… still, that should be pretty easy. Explain it! The P90 is a popular gun; I’m sure if there is a good 1/8 gun set out there somewhere, the P90 is in it.
Separate accessories that aren’t 1/6th scale are pretty tough to find. It’d rock if they had accessory sets in 1/10th and 1/8th scale; two of the more common figure scales that manufacturers use.
Yeah, but then I guess they are making them more for people who probably want to display their gun model collection than anything else. Speaking of which, I need to lay down a preorder on those gun replicas from… whacha call it. I think I posted a link to them. Maybe not. I guess it got lost in all thw Wanfesu garbage.
