Diamond Comic Distributers, Inc. has release it’s 2005 market share report. If you don’t know who Diamond Comic Distributers is, just know that almost every comic you’ve ever seen has passed through their hands before it got to you. Anyway, this report will give you a good idea of where your favorite brands (Del Rey. :D) stand with regard to actual dollar sales in the market. Of course, Marvel and DC lead the pack, but it’s interesting to see the manga companies starting to creep up in the ratings, and it should help to make more comic shops take manga seriously as a product to stock and keep track of. But then… that’s probably still a ways off.
