Genshiken Second Season

According to Heisei Democracy, Genshiken’s second season was announced at Comiket 69. The second season of the Media Factory anime, based on Shimoku Kio’s manga of the same name, is set to begin airing in October 2006.
Commentary:
Honestly, I’m pretty excited to see it come back. While they did a decent job ending the first season without pissing me off, I just wanted more! They have a great place to pick up from and it should be really interesting with the looming introduction of new characters from the manga. The originality of the characters keeps me from worrying that the show has enough character to keep it seperate from other, similar shows such as Comic Party, especially considering the sort of plot similarities that are sure to be drawn to any doujin-centric story line.

[...] Word is coming from 2channel, via the MoonPhase forums, that, to go along with the upcoming second season of Genshiken (our first post) there is a full anime TV series of Kujibiki Unbalance in development. WOOHOO! Though, there seems to be some ambiguity as to whether they are developing this in lieu of Genshiken season two or if it is separate and will have no effect. This is further confused by the fact that Genshiken director Mizushima Tsutomu will be directing Kujian as well, though a different studio is working on animation for the title. (which will hopefully keep the quality to Media Factory standards) [...]
